Our glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TBS58CL), uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented system secures monolithic tempered glass in the door rail by applying downward wedge pressure via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail to generate very high clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail) — delivering a robust, reliable glass-to-rail connection for commercial storefronts and interior glass doors.

After installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts provide ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned off the American Standard setback for custom field conditions. Note: arms and pivots are sold separately to meet specific job requirements.

Ordering & finishes: Wedge-Lock® Door Rails come in standard architectural finishes and can be quoted in custom finishes and widths. Models are available with or without locks; lock mechanisms are supplied installed when ordered with locks, but keyed cylinders or thumbturns must be ordered separately.
