An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SBS58SL) uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure monolithic tempered glass in door rails. The system applies downward pressure via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail, creating a powerful wedging action. In our 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail this can generate more than 900 lbs. of clamping force—demonstrating the strength of our full-length rails for frameless glass door applications.

NOTE: Actual product height: 6" (152 mm).

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast, reliable installation for commercial frameless glass doors and tempered glass entrances. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails come fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The standard adjustable alignment slide provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails—allowing corrections for vertically out-of-square openings without removing the door.

To access adjustments after installation, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the outer bolts adjust the slide in or out by 1/8" (3.2 mm). The low-profile slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and non-standard setbacks.

Other differentiators and benefits:
  • Models available for 3/8" or 1/2" (10 or 12 mm) glass
  • Single-component rigid housing that resists shifting and long-term adjustment drift
  • Internal components remain in place during installation—no removal required
  • Durable glass securing pads engineered for longevity in extreme environments
  • Built-in jamb alignment block standard (arms and pivots ordered separately)
