An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System secures monolithic tempered glass using the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The system pulls two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions together with a flat stainless steel bar and socket head cap bolts. Angled extrusions seat into an angled groove in the door rail to generate very high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail), delivering superior glass retention in full-length door rails as well.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides faster installations than conventional door rails — experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After installation you only need to attach a door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide.

The adjustable alignment slide provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. Access is through the end cap to three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide, while the two outer bolts adjust it. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves allow fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings and non-standard setbacks.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include the built-in jamb alignment block. Arms, pivots, closer arms and floor or overhead pivots must be ordered separately to meet job requirements. Matching finish keyed cylinders or thumbturns are ordered separately for models with locks.
