An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU DR6SBS12C) uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 & 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure monolithic tempered glass quickly and reliably. The Wedge-Lock system applies pressure from the bottom of the rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As socket head cap bolts pull the bar down, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail, wedging the extrusions together and compressing the door retaining gasket — producing exceptional holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail). This patented action delivers long-lasting glass retention in full-length door rails and superior wind- and impact-resistance for commercial glass doors.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System also provides the fastest installation time of any door rail system in the industry. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (ordered separately) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows up to 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door — standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment. The low-profile adjustable slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings by changing the setback from the American standard 2-3/4" (69.8 mm).
