Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for glass door applications—including glass door rail systems for 3/8 inch tempered glass—the Wedge-Lock® uses two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar to apply downward pressure and wedge the extrusions together. This engineered wedge action, combined with a specially designed door retaining gasket, generates significant securing force in our rails (e.g., more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail).

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation and reliable long-term performance. Rails come completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. Installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes and attach the door arm or pivot to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System permits 1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb—standard on both top and bottom rails—without removing the door.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts allow the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile adjustable slide lets pivots with slotted grooves be positioned other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
