CRL's Premium Cap Rails are manufactured using a precision Bump-Forming process that delivers consistent radii, tight tolerances, and minimal spring-back compared with roll-formed cap rails. Welds on both sides of the internal channel increase strength and stability so the cap rail fits into welded corners and end caps without twist or discoloration—making it a top choice for architectural glass railing and handrail applications.
All CRL Premium Cap Rail sections are formed with precision tooling to maintain uniform diameters for smooth hairline transitions at splices, corners, and end caps. The internal channel is welded for added rigidity during fabrication. Use Cat. No.
32629 Metal Contact Cement to achieve a secure, permanent bond at all connections, and use connector sleeves to join cap rails. Standard offering: sold in 120" (3.05 m) lengths; 168" (4.27 m) also available.
Glass compatibility & installation notes: When used with 1/2" (12 mm) glass, use Cat. No. GR5PV cap rail vinyl and
95CBL Silicone. For 5/8" (16 mm) glass, secure with 95CBL Silicone and shims. For 3/4" (19 mm) glass, use 95CBL Silicone and shims. All CRL Premium Cap Rails are stainless alloy 304; stainless alloy 316 is available by special order. Please contact
