Turning the lever downward activates the dead latch; a heavy-duty spring returns the lever automatically to the fully horizontal position. Escutcheon dimensions: 1-3/8" x 4" (35 x 102 mm). Includes a 1/4" (6 mm) square hardened spindle that interlocks with the cam plug for reliable engagement.
