CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System — engineered for commercial glass entrances, the Wedge-Lock® Door Rail (SKU: DR10SPT12CL) uses an exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System to clamp monolithic tempered glass securely from the bottom using dual aluminum retaining extrusions and a stainless steel tension bar (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 & 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This wedge action and high‑performance door retaining gasket generate exceptional holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) for extreme security and durability in a glass door rail system for storefronts, offices, and institutional entrances.
The system delivers the fastest installation times of any door rail in its class. Factory-fabricated rails arrive ready-to-install with End Caps installed. After mounting, installers simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide — no disassembly of internal components required.
Adjustable Door Alignment System: Built-in adjustable slides on both top and bottom rails allow ±1/8" (3 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. End Cap removal exposes three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the slide; the outer two provide the 1/8" adjustment. Low-profile slides allow pivot placement off the American Standard setback, enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
Key benefits & differentiators:
- High-security wedge clamping ideal for 1/2" tempered glass storefront doors and heavy-use commercial doors
- Rigid single-component housing — won’t shift or fall out of adjustment over time
- Internal components remain installed during shipping and fitting for faster field work
- Durable glass securing pads designed for long life in extreme environments
- Available with integrated lock mechanism (keyed cylinders or thumbturns sold separately)
Specifications & notes:
Actual product height: 10” (254 mm).
Models accept 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass depending on configuration
