An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SPT12CL) uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 & 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure tempered glass in door rails. The system applies downward pressure from the bottom of the rail via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled wedges in the rail draw the extrusions together, producing high clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) for reliable glass retention in full-length door rails.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation and durable performance for commercial glass doors. Experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated with end caps installed; after mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System (standard on top and bottom rails) allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) fore/aft adjustment without removing the door.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide and the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include a built-in Jamb Alignment Block. Arms, pivots, closer arms, and keyed cylinders/thumbturns must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
