Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action applies downward pressure via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions seat into an angled groove in the rail, producing a high clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail) for secure, long-lasting attachment in tempered glass door applications.
NOTE: Actual Product Height: 10" (254 mm)
The Wedge-Lock® system not only secures the glass but also delivers fast installation for glass door rails. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed. After installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide.
The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System (top and bottom rails) allows +/-1/8" (3 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. To access adjustments after installation, remove the End Cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the slide, the outer two adjust the slide in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned off the American Standard setback for out-of-square openings.
Other advantages of Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include models accepting 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass, a rigid single-component housing that resists shifting over time, no need to remove internal components before installation, and durable glass securing pads designed for extreme environments.
NOTE: All Wedge-Lock
