Our innovative glass entrance system, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action secures the glass by applying downward pressure from the bottom of the door rail using two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. When the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail and pull together, compressing the specially designed door retaining gasket to generate high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in our 9" (228.6 mm) Corner Rail). That translates to significantly greater holding strength across full-length rails, ideal for tempered glass storefront doors and commercial glass entrances.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers more than secure attachment — it provides one of the fastest installation times of any door rail system. Experienced installers can prepare a door in less than ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide.

The Adjustable Door Alignment System permits 1/8" (3.2 mm) field adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. This adjustment is standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts permit the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide and slotted pivots allow non-standard setback positions and fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.

Other benefits: models accept 3/8"–3/4" (10–19 mm) glass; a rigid single-component housing that resists shifting or loss of adjustment over time; internal components remain in place during installation; and durable glass securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments — making these rails well suited for commercial storefronts, office entrances, and tempered glass door installations.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include a built-in Jamb Alignment Block. Arms and pivots must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
