This CRL Overhead Concealed Door Closer (SKU: CRL7670) features a diamond-position spindle at 0º to directly replace pre-1998 Kawneer® Husky® original-style closers without changing the door arm. The diamond spindle engagement allows installers to use existing Center-Hung or Offset Arms and existing pivots, minimizing installation time and cost. Retrofit Clips (sold separately) are available for 4" or 4-1/2" (102 or 114 mm) headers so the closer can be installed without replacing additional door hardware.

Available configurations: 105° Hold Open and No Hold Open styles, Medium spring size, plus an 8.5 lb. model suitable for exterior door applications. A diamond pattern End-Load Center-Hung Replacement Arm is available as Cat. No. CRL8010H.

Installation Notes: Retrofit may require considerable alterations. Mounting Clips are required and sold separately. An auxiliary floor or overhead door stop is recommended to prevent damage from over-extension of maximum door swing.

Independent Adjustment Valves
Non-critical valves independently adjust Closing Speed and Latching Speed for fine-tuning door performance.

Special Retaining Rings
Retaining rings prevent adjustment valve screws from backing out of the closer body.

Warnings & Limitations
Closers set to comply with specified opening forces might not provide adequate spring power to control and close the door due to varying site conditions and door size.
