This CRL Overhead Concealed Door Closer (SKU: CRL7772) features a diamond-pattern spindle engagement at 0°, enabling door installers to replace pre-1998 Kawneer® original Husky® closers without changing the door arm. Use existing center-hung or offset arms and existing pivots for a faster retrofit. Optional Retrofit Clips are available for 4" or 4-1/2" (102 or 114 mm) headers so the closer can be installed without replacing additional door hardware.

These overhead concealed door closers are offered in 105° hold-open and no hold-open configurations, with medium spring size and an 8.5 lb. ADA-compatible model for exterior doors. A diamond-pattern end-load center-hung replacement arm (Cat. No. CRL8010H) is also available.

NOTE: Retrofit may require considerable alteration. Mounting clips are sold separately and are required to mount the closer.

NOTE: Install an auxiliary floor or overhead door stop to prevent damage from over-extension of maximum allowable door swing.

Independent Adjustment Valves
Non-critical valve control adjusts closing speed and latching speed independently for precise door control.

Special Retaining Rings
Prevent adjustment valve screws from backing completely out of the closer body.
