The CRL Digital Tin Side detector (SKU: TS2300) uses digital sensing to determine the tin side of float glass without an ultraviolet bulb. Unlike UV-based methods, this digital tin side detector provides an unambiguous readout on either side of the glass—just position the meter on the glass surface and press the button. The large display clearly indicates whether the meter is on the tin side or if the tin is on the opposite surface, eliminating subjective interpretation of UV reflections.
Key differentiators: rugged and portable digital design, energy-efficient operation, no UV bulbs to replace, and useable from either side of the glass. Powered by one 9V DC battery.
The TS2300 cannot identify the tin side if other coatings have been applied to the glass surface. The TS2300 cannot be used to test tempered glass—surface distortion (roller-wave) can affect accuracy.
