GE® 1200 (SKU: SCS1202) is a one-part, acetic-cure construction and glazing silicone sealant that cures to a tough, flexible rubber through a moisture cure process. Ideal for building and glazing applications, this high-performance silicone sealant provides long-term weatherproofing for joints in commercial and residential construction.


Basic Uses
Used to seal building joints to prevent penetration of rain, air, and noise. GE 1200 weatherproofs junctions of building materials and is suitable for sealing curtainwall and mullion joints, glazing steel and aluminum windows, painted and plastic-coated wood windows, interior glass partitions, and skylights. It forms permanent watertight bonds with glass, ceramic, steel, plastics, and painted surfaces and is useful for maintenance applications requiring long life and reliable sealing properties.

Technical Data
Meets or exceeds: Federal Specifications TT-S-001543A Class A (COM-NBS) and TT-S-00230C Class A (COM-NBS) for one-component silicone building sealants; ASTM C-920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, Use NT, G, A, and O; CAN/CGSB-19.13-M87. USDA, FDA, NSF status noted on product literature. These standards make GE 1200 appropriate for many building sealant and glazing specifications requiring durable, non-sag silicone sealants.

Limitations
GE® 1200 Construction Silicone Sealant is not intended for structural glazing or for use on masonry. Check the cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations and substrate compatibility.
