- Measure single-pane glass thickness on already-glazed windows—no edge access required
The CRL Glass Thickness Gauge (SKU G1340) lets you determine single-pane glass thickness even when you cannot reach the glass edge. Place the long edge of the gauge against the glass, tilt the gauge upward to a 45° angle, then look into the glass at the gauge's reflection. Compare each short line in the reflection with the long continuous line; the short line that appears in the same plane as the long line indicates the glass thickness—read the corresponding value above that line. This reflection-based method is ideal for measuring thickness through the face of glazed windows.
