CRL Edgetech Super Spacer® (SKU: SS316516) is an advanced insulating glass spacer manufactured from UV-resistant silicone foam. This silicon-based spacer minimizes perimeter edge condensation, substantially reduces window heat loss, and is ideal for fabricating curved insulating glass, triple-glazed units, and sound-insulating glass assemblies. The flexible foam accommodates glass bowing and thermal movement while the high-performance multi-layer barrier film reduces moisture ingress and inert gas loss.
Super Spacer®'s unique design eliminates the need for desiccant beads and corner keys, streamlining production of both regular and specialty insulating glass units. For long-term durability, the silicone material resists UV degradation and the foam’s permeability enables fast moisture pick-up during assembly.
Rolls are 66' (20.1 m) long. Other colors and bulk rolls are available on special order.
NOTE: Super Spacer® must be used with an edge sealant. We recommend CRL Hot Melt Butyl or CRL 877 Super Spacer Sealant.
