CRL Loctite U.V. Adhesive (SKU: UV34990) is a one-part, medium-viscosity UV curing adhesive formulated for clear, durable glass bonds. It produces tough, water-clear joints with excellent adhesion to glass, metal and some thermoplastics—ideal for all-glass showcases, glass shelves, furniture and other transparent assemblies. The adhesive cures in seconds when exposed to U.V. light from a curing lamp at 365nm. Cure speed varies with U.V. intensity and coating depth; UV349 is noted for curing through relatively large gaps and forming a hard, dry, transparent bond.


This UV adhesive offers strong retention under moisture and humidity with high resistance to discoloration and general environmental aging. Cured temperature resistance: -65 to 266 °F (-54 to 130 °C).

Use Loctite 20162 cleaner/degreaser to prepare surfaces—clean, grease-free substrates ensure best bond performance.

Note: U.V. curing requires that the bond area be exposed to ultraviolet irradiation. At least one bonded material must transmit U.V. light (e.g., glass-to-glass, glass-to-metal or plastic-to-metal). Metal-to-metal joints will not cure.

Approximate coverage from a 1.69 fl oz bottle: 1/16" (1.58 mm) bead — 1,000 linear inches (25.4 m); 1/8" (3 mm) bead — 250 linear inches (6.35 m).


Product Warning:

This product is U.V. sensitive. Minimize exposure to daylight, U.V. light and artificial lighting during storage and handling. Store in unopened containers in a cool, dry place at 46–82 °F (8–28 °C); optimal storage is in the lower half of this range. Provide cooling for temperature-sensitive substrates (such as thermoplastics). Test plastic grades for stress cracking risk before use.
