Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, is engineered for frameless and glass storefront doors using monolithic tempered glass. The system features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1), a unique wedge-action design that clamps glass with exceptional holding force.

The Wedge-Lock® system secures the glass by pulling two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions together with a flat stainless steel bar and socket head cap bolts. Angled extrusion faces engage an internal angled groove in the door rail, generating high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), providing reliable glass retention for commercial glass doors and heavy-duty storefront applications.

Designed for fast installation, Wedge-Lock® Door Rails arrive fully fabricated with End Caps installed and require minimal on-site prep. Experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System (top and bottom rails) allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment via three concealed socket head cap bolts—no door removal required—making field alignment simple for out-of-square openings.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include a built-in Jamb Alignment Block. Arms, pivots, closer arms, and floor or overhead pivots are ordered separately to meet job requirements. Models with locks include the lock mechanism; keyed cylinders or thumbturns must be ordered in a matching finish.
