Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SMBL12C) features the exclusive, patented CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for monolithic tempered glass, the Wedge-Lock® system secures the glass by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail and pull together, creating extreme retention force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). This robust action, combined with a specially designed door retaining gasket, delivers a secure, durable connection for commercial glass doors.

The Wedge-Lock® system is engineered for fast installation and field adjustability. Rails arrive fully fabricated with end caps installed—installers to experienced with the system can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. The pre-assembled Adjustable Door Alignment Slide (standard on top and bottom rails) lets you fine-tune door alignment 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. After installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide and the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment in or out. The low-profile slide enables pivot placement off the American Standard setback for vertically out-of-square openings.
