Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, is a frameless glass door rail solution that secures tempered glass using the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The system applies downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is drawn down with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions wedge together in the rail groove, producing high clamp force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), delivering exceptional strength and durability for commercial glass doors.

The Wedge-Lock® system also cuts installation time—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The adjustable alignment slide allows +/-1/8" (3.2 mm) door adjustment toward or away from the jamb without door removal, standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide permits pivot placement off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
