An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SMBL12CL) is engineered for frameless and semi-frameless glass doors using 1/2" (12 mm) monolithic tempered glass. The exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) secures glass by applying downward pressure via two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled wedges pull the extrusions together, creating exceptional holding force — over 900 lbs. in the 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail — and a robust full-length rail performance for high-traffic commercial entrances.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers faster installation than traditional door rails. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door.

To fine-tune alignment after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide, while the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide allows pivot placement off the standard 2-3/4" (69.8 mm) setback for vertically out-of-square openings.
