An innovative commercial glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). The system secures temperered glass by applying downward pressure via two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts into the angled groove of the rail, the wedge action compresses the extrusions and gasket to generate high clamping force—over 900 lbs. in the 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail—providing industry-leading glass retention for door applications.

The Wedge-Lock® design reduces installation time—experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated with end caps installed and include an adjustable door alignment slide for +/-1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment without removing the door. This low-profile slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback, enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
