These CRL Overhead Door Closer Kits (SKU: CRL8162S) include a medium spring-size door closer, mounting clips, a Type S side-load arm, and an adjustable DP dual-purpose bottom pivot set (or GE bottom pivot set). The closer body fits into standard 1-3/4" x 4" (44 x 102 mm) or larger extrusions. Available with 90Β° and 105Β° hold-open or no-hold-open options. Ideal for storefronts and aluminum-framed doors requiring an overhead concealed door closer for 1/2" top rails.
Independent Adjustment Valves
Non-critical valves allow separate, precise control of closing speed and latching speed for consistent door operation.
Special Retaining Rings
Retaining rings prevent adjustment valve screws from being backed completely out of the closer body, improving durability and reducing maintenance.
Important Note
Use an auxiliary floor or overhead door stop to prevent damage from over-extension of the maximum allowable door swing.
Product Warning
This closer is not to be used on doors weighing more than 200 lbs.
