These CRL Shallow Depth Floor Mounted Door Closers (SKU: CRL8360) are engineered for installations where limited floor excavation is required—ideal for upper-floor openings and retrofit projects. The shallow 1-9/16" (40 mm) cut-out preserves subfloor material to better support the door weight while providing reliable floor-mounted operation. Separate adjustment valves allow precise control of closing and latching speeds. Models available with 90° or 105° hold-open and no hold-open options.

The closer ships with a 1/8" (3 mm) collar-height spindle, yielding a 5/16" (8 mm) clearance from the finished floor to the door bottom; optional spindle heights are available to match different finished floor conditions. Additional accessories include cover plates, pivots, center-hung and offset arms for flexible installation.

NOTE: Use an auxiliary floor or overhead door stop to protect the closer and entryway from damage caused by over-extension of maximum door swing.
