An innovative tempered glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SPT58CL) uses the patented Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure glass with wedge action and stainless steel pressure bars. Designed for glass door applications, the system applies downward pressure from the bottom rail using two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions seat into the rail groove and pull together, creating very high retention force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), ensuring a secure hold for full-length door rails and providing reliable performance in heavy-use commercial entrances.

The Wedge-Lock® design delivers faster installations for glass doors and tempered glass storefronts. Rails come fully fabricated with End Caps installed, ready-to-install out of the carton. After mounting the rail, attach your door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) fine tuning toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door—ideal for out-of-square openings and precise glass door alignment.

To adjust after installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide, the two outer bolts adjust the slide ±1/8" (3.2 mm). The low-profile slide enables pivot placement off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm) when required. Internal components remain in place during installation, and the single-piece rail housing resists shifting over time—benefits for commercial glass storefronts and interior glass doors exposed to heavy traffic and extreme environments.
