Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® securing system (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The wedge-lock design secures the glass by applying downward pressure via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail so the wedge action draws the retaining pieces together, creating exceptionally high glass-retaining force in our corner and full-length door rails.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation time and reliable performance for frameless and pivoted glass entrance doors. Experienced installers can prep a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (sold separately) to the adjustable door alignment slide that ships assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you fine-tune door position 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling use in vertically out-of-square openings.
