Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR10SPB12C) uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure tempered glass in commercial and architectural storefront doors. The system clamps the glass using two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. Socket head cap bolts pull the bar down so angled wedges in the rail draw the extrusions together, creating very high glass-retention force (over 900 lbs. in a 9" corner rail — approx. 100 lbs. per inch). This robust mechanical action plus a specially designed door-retaining gasket ensures durable, secure attachment for 1/2" to 3/4" tempered glass door applications.

The Wedge-Lock® design delivers faster installation than competing door rail systems. Experienced installers can prepare a door for install in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System provides +/- 1/8" (3 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door. Remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts fine-tune the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
