Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR10SPB34C), features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for monolithic tempered glass doors, the system secures the glass using two aluminum retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar that, when tensioned with socket head cap bolts, pulls angled extrusions together in the door rail wedge. Combined with a specially designed door retaining gasket, this creates very high clamp force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail), delivering industry-leading glass retention for commercial glass doors.
NOTE: Actual Product Height: 10" (254 mm)
The Wedge-Lock® system not only provides exceptional glass retention but also the fastest field installation of any comparable door rail system. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.
The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (±3 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without door removal, on both top and bottom rails. Remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the adjustable slide; the outer bolts provide the ±1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide lets pivots with slotted grooves be positioned off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
Other reasons to choose Wedge-Lock® Door Rails:
- Models accept 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass
- Rigid single-component housing that resists shifting and long-term adjustment drift
- Internal components remain in place during installation—no removal required
- Durable glass securing pads engineered for longevity in extreme environments
NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include a built-in jamb
