CRL's Premium Cap Rails are manufactured using Bump-Forming to deliver consistent radius, tighter tolerances, and reduced stress compared with roll-formed cap rails. Welds on both sides of the internal channel increase strength and stability, preventing twist or discoloration and allowing precise fit into welded corners—ideal for architectural glass railing and decorative handrail applications.

All CRL Premium Cap Rail are formed with precision tooling for uniform diameters and smooth hairline transitions at splices, corners, and end caps. The welded internal channel improves fabrication strength and stability. Use Cat. No. 32629 Metal Contact Cement to achieve a secure, permanent bond at all connections. Use connector sleeves to join cap rails; sold in 120" (3.05 m) lengths.

Glass installation guidance: When used with 1/2" (12 mm) glass, use Cat. No. GR5PV cap rail vinyl and 95CBL Silicone. When used with 5/8" (16 mm) glass, secure with 95CBL Silicone and shims. When used with 3/4" (19 mm) glass, use 95CBL Silicone and shims. For connector sleeves see Connector Sleeves.
