Our innovative glass entrance system, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU DR4TPB34CL), features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge-action design secures monolithic tempered glass from 3/8" to 3/4" (10–19 mm) using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar that pulls downward with socket head cap bolts, creating a high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). The result is a rigid, single-component housing ideal for commercial storefronts, tempered glass entrance doors, and heavy-use public building entrances.

The Wedge-Lock® system also delivers fast installation and reliable long-term performance. Rails come fully fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps pre-installed; experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the assembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows fine tuning of the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the adjustable slide, the outer two adjust the slide 1/8" in or out. The low-profile adjustable slide and slotted pivot grooves permit non-standard setback positions and fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings—useful for retrofit storefront door installations.
