An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The patented wedge action secures the glass by applying downward pressure from the bottom of the door rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail, drawing the extrusions together and creating high retention force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail).

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation and reliable long-term performance. CRL door rails ship fully fabricated with end caps installed and are ready-to-install right out of the carton. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable alignment feature provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door.

To fine-tune alignment after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide and the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves allow non-standard setback positions and fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
