Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR10SPB58CL) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The system secures the glass by applying downward pressure from the bottom rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. Angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail so the wedge action pulls the extrusions together, compressing the specially designed door retaining gasket to create very high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail). This patented wedge action provides a secure, long-lasting attachment for frameless and semi-frameless glass doors and is ideal for commercial tempered glass entrance applications.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers faster installation than most door rail systems—experienced installers can prepare a door in under 10 minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps preinstalled. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide that is already assembled in the rail. The Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you move the door 1/8" (3 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this is standard on both top and bottom rails.

To fine-tune alignment after installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide, and the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves allow positioning other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
