Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TPB58CL) uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This glass door rail system for 5/8" tempered glass secures the glass by applying downward pressure through two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled wedges in the rail draw the extrusions together, compressing the door gasket to create very high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). Imagine the holding power across full-length rails up to 35-3/4" (908 mm).

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast, reliable installation—the fastest door rail installation method in the industry. Experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. Rails come completely fabricated and ready to install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The built-in Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide, and the outer bolts provide the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
