CRL Cardiff Series Pivot Hinges (SKU: CAR02CH) are precision pivot hinges for tempered safety glass shower doors and fixed transoms. Designed for 5/16" (8 mm) to 3/8" (10 mm) glass, these solid-brass hinges offer a top-and-bottom mount that leaves more glass exposed and reduces the number of cut-outs compared to standard side-mount glass-to-glass hinges—making them ideal for frameless glass shower doors and transom installations. Cardiff hinges are self-centering (within 15º of closed) with four springs for maximum retention strength and carry most of the weight on the bottom, allowing inset mounting for clearance of towel bars and other projections. Optional 5º pre-set pivot pin sets are available to alter the closing position; sold separately. The Cardiff Series is compatible with the Deluxe Header System for partial-height enclosures.

NOTE: Optional 5º Pivot Pin Set (for Cardiff, Prima, Rondo, and Shell Series) - sold as a set of two (top and bottom). Can be installed prior to or retrofitted after installation. Not included with hinge purchase.

Performance with Two Hinges: Using two hinges on 5/16" or 3/8" (8 or 10 mm) glass: capacity up to 100 lbs. (45 kg) with a maximum door width of 31" (787 mm).
