Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action applies downward pressure via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar to lock monolithic tempered glass securely into the rail. The system delivers high clamp force in compact rails and maximizes holding strength across full-length rails for commercial glass door applications.

The Wedge-Lock® system also reduces installation time—experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail mounting, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door, accommodating vertically out-of-square openings.

Access adjusts easily by removing the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide in or out. The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard Setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm).

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include a built-in jamb alignment block. Arms, pivots, closer arms and floor or overhead pivots must be ordered separately to meet job requirements. Models with locks are supplied with the lock mechanism installed; keyed cylinders or thumbturns are ordered separately. End caps are included in stock lengths; specify total rail length (including end caps) for custom lengths.
