Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, is a durable frameless glass door rail system engineered for commercial and architectural applications. The exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) secures the glass with a patented wedge action that applies pressure from the bottom of the rail via two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions move into the rail’s wedge groove, compressing the specially designed door retaining gasket to generate extremely high holding force (more than 900 lbs. in our 9" (228.6 mm) Corner Rail). This reliable method produces strong, long-lasting attachment across full-length rails.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers the fastest installation times among door rail systems—experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps pre-installed. After setting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide that ships assembled in the rail.

The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. Adjustment is performed by removing the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts—the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
