CRL Low Profile Door Rail measures 2-5/16" (59 mm) tall by 1-1/2" (38 mm) wide and features the patented Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 & 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). These pre-fabricated, ready-to-install low profile door rails include End Caps, installation instructions, and adjustment wrenches—ideal for frameless glass door applications using 3/8" (10 mm) tempered glass.
NOTE: Actual Product Height: 2-5/16" (59 mm)
The Wedge-Lock® system provides secure glass attachment plus the fastest installation time in its class. Experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. Rails ship assembled with End Caps; the only field step after rail installation is attaching the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already installed in the rail.
The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the slide; the outer two move the slide 1/8" (3 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide enables pivot placement other than the American Standard setback, allowing fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
Key benefits and features:
- Accepts 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass in specific models
- Rigid single-component housing resists shifting and long-term misalignment
- Internal components stay in place—no removal required before installation
- Durable glass-securing pads engineered for longevity in extreme environments
- Built-in Jamb Alignment Block (arms and pivots sold separately)
Finish and hardware options: Available in several standard architectural finishes; custom finishes and widths quoted on request. Rail specifications, templates, and hardware packages are available from CRL Technical Sales via e-mail.
