An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to clamp glass securely from the bottom. Two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions are compressed by a flat stainless steel bar and socket head cap bolts into an angled groove in the door rail. Combined with a specially designed door retaining gasket, this design produces exceptionally high glass-holding force in corner and full-length rails—providing a secure, durable attachment for glass entrance doors.
NOTE: Actual product height: 6" (152 mm)
The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation time and reliable long-term performance. Rails arrive completely fabricated with end caps installed and include an adjustable door alignment slide so the door can be adjusted ±1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removal. After installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide allows pivot placement off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm) to accommodate out-of-square openings.
Key differentiators:
- Fast, installer-friendly system — door prep in minutes for experienced installers
- Rigid single-component housing that stays in adjustment (not two-piece)
- Internal components remain in place during installation — no disassembly required
- Durable glass securing pads engineered for extreme environments
- Standard built-in jamb alignment block for accurate door placement
Available options and ordering notes:
- Models available for 3/8" or 1/2" (10 or 12 mm) glass as well as for 5/8" (16 mm) applications
- Comes with Kwik-Adjust™ Pivot Alignment System standard; closer arms and pivots (floor or overhead) ordered separately
