An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SPS58CL) uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905; 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure glass from the bottom of the rail. Two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions clamp the glass via a flat stainless steel bar; as the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions wedge together in the door rail groove to produce very high retention force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" Corner Rail). This design provides reliable long-term holding power for tempered glass door applications and is optimized for glass door installations where strong, maintenance-resistant retention is required.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers exceptionally fast installation times for commercial glass door rails. Rails arrive completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (sold separately) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable slide allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) door adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door—useful for out-of-square openings or fine field alignment.

Adjustments are accessed by removing the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves allow pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm).
