Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The Wedge-Lock® system secures monolithic tempered glass within the door rail by applying downward pressure via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. Angled extrusion profiles engage an angled groove in the door rail so the wedge action pulls the extrusions together, creating very high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail). This proven glass securing method delivers exceptional strength for commercial glass doors and storefronts.

The Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System offers fast, reliable installation for tempered glass doors. Rails arrive completely fabricated with end caps installed; installers prepare a door for installation in minutes. The unit includes an adjustable door alignment slide so the installed door can be adjusted 1/8" (3 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removal. This Kwik-Adjust™ Pivot Alignment System is standard on both top and bottom rails and supports adjustments for vertical out-of-square openings.

To access the adjustable slide after installation, remove the end cap to expose three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide, and the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned differently than the American Standard Setback.
