CRL Polyisobutylene (SKU: 2132559) is the primary vapor-seal material for dual-seal insulating glass units. This one-part, non-drying, non-hardening polyisobutylene sealant is available in tape or slug form for tape-applied or automated spacer application. Designed for IG fabrication, it adheres to glass and metal and resists water, ozone, and ultraviolet light—making it an ideal polyisobutylene vapor seal for high-performance insulating glass assemblies.
The tape form is hand-applied to the sides of dual-seal spacer; slugs are for automated machines. Manufactured at strict quality-control standards, CRL Polyisobutylene contains 100% solids and is compatible with any secondary sealant. Case quantity: 10 rolls per case — each roll is 42' (12.8 m) and contains five strands (210' / 64 m per roll), totaling 2,100' (640 m) per case.
