Our innovative glass entrance product, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR10SSA12S), features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). This wedge-action system secures glass by applying downward pressure with two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is drawn down with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail, forcing the extrusions together and compressing the specially designed door retaining gasket to generate very high holding force — over 900 lbs. in the 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail and proportionally greater force in the full-length 35-3/4" (908 mm) door rails.

The Wedge-Lock® glass securing system delivers secure attachment plus the fastest installation time of any comparable door rail. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails come completely fabricated and ready to install with end caps preinstalled. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System allows 1/8" (3 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door, on both top and bottom rails. To make adjustments after installation, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide and the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide supports pivots with slotted grooves and allows fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
