An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SSA12SL) features the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 & 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The system secures glass by applying downward pressure from the bottom of the door rail using two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions wedge together in the rail groove to clamp the glass—creating tremendous holding force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). This makes the Wedge-Lock ideal for high-traffic commercial glass doors and heavy-duty storefront applications.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast, reliable installation for commercial glass doors. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the built-in adjustable door alignment slide. The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails — allowing on-site fine-tuning without door removal or disassembly.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves accommodate offsets from the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm) and support installations in vertically out-of-square openings.

Other advantages: models accept 3/8" or 1/2" (10 or 12 mm) glass; rigid single-component housing resists shifting or loss of adjustment; internal components remain in place during installation; glass securing pads resist degradation in extreme environments.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include the built-in jamb alignment block. Arms, pivots and closer arms must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
