Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for frameless and storefront glass doors, this door rail system secures glass by applying pressure from the bottom via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions wedge together and, combined with the door retaining gasket, generate exceptionally high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail), delivering a durable, secure attachment for tempered glass door applications.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides faster installation than conventional door rails—experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) fine adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the ±1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves enable non-standard setback positions and fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
