CRL Extruded Aluminum Cap Rails are manufactured from alloy 6063-T6, compatible with custom finishes such as anodizing and powder coating—ideal for architectural glass balustrades, stair railings, and storefront glass applications. For a secure, permanent bond at all connections, use CRL Metal Contact Cement Cat. No. 32629. Connector sleeves are required to join Cap Rails for straight runs and custom configurations.

Installation notes: Use Cat. No. GR5PV cap rail vinyl and 95CBL silicone to secure 1/2" (12 mm) glass; use Cat. No. LR56PV rubber insert and 95CBL for 9/16" (13.52 mm) laminated glass; for 5/8" (16 mm) glass use 95CBL silicone and shims. Dimensions provided are used to calculate glass size—add your required clearance or allow an extra 1/8" (3.2 mm) if using cap rail vinyl.
