Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This Wedge-Lock door rail system for tempered glass doors secures the glass by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled wedges in the rail draw the extrusions together, compressing the specially designed door retaining gasket to generate exceptional holding force—over 900 lbs. in the 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail and proportionally more in full-length rails like the 35-3/4" (908 mm) door rail.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers both superior security and the fastest installation time of any door rail system in the industry. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails arrive completely fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The built-in Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you adjust the door 1/8" (3 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door, standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts permit the 1/8" (3 mm) in/out adjustment. The low-profile adjustable slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned other than the American Standard Setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
