Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR10SSA58C), uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for glass doors and storefronts, this Wedge-Lock door rail system secures monolithic tempered glass by applying downward pressure via two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage the door rail groove and produce extremely high clamping force—over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail—ensuring reliable, long-term glass retention for 5/8" (16 mm) panels and other compatible glass thicknesses.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System speeds installation: experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The adjustable alignment slide (standard on both top and bottom rails) allows ±1/8" (3 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—ideal for out-of-square openings.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" (3 mm) in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide lets pivots with slotted grooves be positioned off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm) when required.
