Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SSA58S), uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure glass reliably and quickly. The system applies downward pressure with two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is drawn down with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail, creating very high compressive force (more than 900 lbs. in our 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail). This design scales across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) door rail for exceptional glass retention.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers more than secure attachment—it provides the fastest installation time of any door rail system in the industry. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment feature (top and bottom rails) lets you adjust the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
