An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SSA58CL) features the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge-style mechanism secures monolithic tempered glass by applying downward pressure through two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a stainless steel flat bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled wedges pull the extrusions together and compress the specially designed door retaining gasket, generating extremely high clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail). This robust design provides secure glass attachment for 5/8" (16 mm) panels and other supported glass thicknesses.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers industry-leading installation speed for a tempered glass door rail — experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide.

• Adjustable Door Alignment System: ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door
• Low-profile adjustable slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard Setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include the built-in Jamb Alignment Block. Arms, pivots, closer arms, and floor or overhead pivots must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
